How to use Vanilla beans:
Direct use - split the vanilla bean, lengthwise, directly down the center. Using the backside of the knife blade, scrape the inside of the bean to remove the vanilla caviar (vanilla seeds).
Use as much or as little of the vanilla bean as desired. Mix it into favorite beverages - add to coffee grinds for vanilla-flavored coffee or make vanilla tea latte with your black tea.
Use in a variety of cooking recipes and baking applications, including sweet sauces, ice cream, cakes and cookies, and homemade vanilla extract.

First of all, just opening them up, they smell incredible! I sneak into the pantry just to open the container I keep them in. I made a cheesecake with them today, and one vanilla bean flavored it so perfectly. The bourbon Madagascar vanilla is my new favorite!
