Java Sisters Vanilla - Extra Long Bourbon Madagascar Vanilla Grade A
The classic. Madagascar vanilla is the flavor we think of when we imagine what vanilla tastes like. The classic, deep, rich "real" vanilla the world has come to know and love with strong sweetness and creamy notes. Bourbon vanilla beans are grown in Madagascar and the West Indian island of Réunion - previously called Bourbon. This vanilla is well suited for many baking recipes, drinks, and desserts where the flavor is meant to complement, not dominate the dish.
"If cacao was the food of the gods, vanilla was definitely the nectar that accompanied it," -Patricia Rain, a cultural anthropologist, who wrote Vanilla: The Cultural History of the World's Favorite Flavor and Fragrance.

How to use Vanilla beans:
Direct use - split the vanilla bean, lengthwise, directly down the center. Using the backside of the knife blade, scrape the inside of the bean to remove the vanilla caviar (vanilla seeds).
Use as much or as little of the vanilla bean as desired. Mix it into favorite beverages - add to coffee grinds for vanilla-flavored coffee or make vanilla tea latte with your black tea.
Use in a variety of cooking recipes and baking applications, including sweet sauces, ice cream, cakes and cookies, and homemade vanilla extract.
Use vanilla caviars to create a gourmet visual cue to ice cream, custards, and crème brûlées, or simply add pods to sugar to make vanilla sugar for exquisite daily use.
